Managing your notes

Discover how to efficiently manage your notes in Nebo and keep everything organized. In this section, you'll learn how to move notes between folders, rename notes for better clarity, delete notes you no longer need, duplicate notes, and choose how your notes are displayed.

Move your notes

You can move your notes within the same folder or transfer them to a different folder. This allows for better management and easy access to your content.

Move your notes in the same folder

  1. Open the folder view.
  2. Long press your note and drag it with your finger.

Move your notes to a different folder

  1. Open the folder view.
  2. Tap the ... button in the top-right corner, then choose Select notes.
  3. Choose the notes you want to move and tap Move at the bottom.
  4. Pick the collection and folder to move them to.
  5. Tap Move again.

Rename your notes

  1. Open the folder view.
  2. Long press the note you want to rename, then tap Rename.

Delete your notes

Deleting notes is a simple process, and you can choose to delete one note at a time or multiple notes at once.

Delete one note at a time

  1. Open the folder view.
  2. Long press the note you want to delete, then tap Delete.

Delete multiple notes at once

  1. Open the folder view.
  2. Tap the ... button in the top-right corner, then tap Select notes.
  3. Choose the notes you want to delete and tap Delete at the bottom.

Duplicate your notes

  1. Open the folder view.
  2. Long press the note you want to duplicate, then tap Duplicate.

A copy of the note will appear in the same folder with "(1)" added to the name.

Change note display

Learn how to change how notes are displayed in the folder view. You can customize the display to make it easier to find and organize your content.

  1. Open the folder view.
  2. Tap the ... button in the top-right corner.
  3. Choose your preferred display mode:
    • Grid view.
    • List view.
  4. Tap Sort by to choose how you want your notes to be sorted:
    • Manually.
    • By name.
    • By creation date.
    • By modification date.

Open two notes side by side

iOS

Dual View mode in Nebo enhances multitasking by letting you work simultaneously with two different Nebo notes side by side. This is useful for comparing notes, dragging and dropping between notes, referencing past content while writing, or managing multiple notes at once.

Open a new window

There are four ways to open Nebo in a new window. Choose the one that works best for your workflow.

  • Use the ... menu at the top of the screen
  1. Tap the ... button located at the top center of the screen.
  2. Tap Full Screen, Split View, or Slide Over.
  3. Tap the Nebo icon to open it in a new window.
  • Drag the Nebo icon from the dock
  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the dock.
  2. Long press the Nebo app icon until it lifts.
  3. Drag it to the side of the screen to open it in a new window.
  • Drag a note from the folder view
  1. Long press a note in your folder view until it lifts.
  2. Drag it to the side of the screen to open it in a new window.
  • Use the menu from the folder view
  1. Long press a note in your folder view.
  2. Tap Open in new window in the menu.

About Dual View mode

  • The search feature is turned off in Dual View mode.
  • You can only copy and paste between notes if they share the same language.
  • You can't open the same note twice in Dual View mode.
  • For optimal performance, avoid opening two large files in Dual View mode if your device has limited RAM.
