Tips for long notes
Nebo supports long notes to capture extensive content, but very large notes may affect performance. This article shares tips to avoid lag and improve your note-taking experience.
Improve performance
Follow these easy tips to keep your note-taking smooth and efficient, even with lots of content.
- Organize your notes—Break long notes into smaller ones. Create new pages if you see warning banners to prevent lag.
- Reduce heavy content—Limit the number of images and compress large files before adding them.
- Back up often—Regularly export your notes to avoid losing data.
- Fix performance issues—Save, close, and reopen long notes if they slow down.
Consider content notifications
Nebo shows a banner when your note gets too large, suggesting you split or optimize it for better performance. This helps keep your note-taking smooth and responsive.
- Orange banner—Time to wrap up the page and start a new one to prevent lag.
- Red banner—Warning—performance issues ahead. Staying on this page could cause data loss.
To create a new page, tap New page in the banner. The new page will use the same settings as the current one.
Optimize PDF performance
Importing large PDF files can strain memory and impact performance. To prevent this, we recommend compressing your PDFs before adding them to Nebo.
